About Bradley NAfME
History
Bradley University's NAfME chapter was officially started in the Spring semester of 2013. Prior to this semester, Bradley had an on and off MENC program that had been disbanded for a few semesters. Music Education major Kelsey Hagan began putting together miniature seminars that happened on Friday afternoons that benefitted music education majors in a way that was not implemented in normal classrooms. These seminars would soon be the basis for BU NAfME.
BU NAfME Today
The students of BU NAfME meet on Friday afternoons in Constance 113 to hear people from the community talk about their experiences in music and music education. Past presentations have included topics like budgeting, working with special needs students, band/choir boosters, and many more. In the future, BU NAfME hopes to branch out beyond only seminars, so stay tuned!
